Fair Oaks residents celebrate the grand opening of a new hardware store offering top-notch supplies and delectable pies!

We’ve just welcomed a new Ace Hardware Store, and the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce joined in for a soft opening on the first day, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony. It’s great to have a local store, and guess what? They also happen to carry some delicious pies!
Jessica Rowell-Greenfield, the owner, along with her son Miller and their employees, were present for the ribbon cutting.The store, called Miller’s Ace Hardware, opened its doors on June 27 in the Almond Orchard shopping plaza. They have big plans for a grand opening event happening on the weekend of August 4th to 6th.
Named after Jessica’s son, Miller’s Ace Hardware occupies a 14,200-square-foot space that used to be Beverly Fabrics. It’s in the same shopping center as Del’s Pizza.
This location at 8077 Madison Ave, is perfectly situated on the border of Citrus Heights, allowing Miller’s Ace Hardware to serve several communities, including Orangevale and Fair Oaks. Jessica chose this spot because she wanted to be part of a small community and found Citrus Heights to be pro-business, which was a huge help.
I took to Instagram and posted a captivating reel showcasing the store’s interior, the wide range of hardware supplies, and of course, those mouthwatering pies that had everyone buzzing.
To my surprise and delight, my Instagram reel quickly gained traction. Within no time, it garnered over 1500 views and received a plethora of likes. It was incredible to see how many people in our community were just as excited as I was about this new addition. The comments section flooded with inquiries from fellow locals, all eager to know more about those irresistible pies. We are all hoping that the store will continue to carry them because, let’s be honest, who can resist a good pie? Especially with the variety of BBQ equipment and sauces. A good pie to take home makes perfect sense.
Driven by curiosity and an insatiable craving, I decided to treat myself to one of those tantalizing pies. My choice? A luscious Blackberry pie. I must say, it was absolutely divine. The balance of flavors was perfect, not too sweet but just right. I couldn’t help but sing its praises to anyone who would listen. It was a truly memorable culinary experience that left me wanting more.
It’s important to note that Miller’s Ace Hardware is not a franchise. Instead, store owners like Jessica are part of a cooperative where they have a stake in the company. The initial investment for these stores can vary depending on size and location, is substantial. So when you shop there, you are supporting a local business owner.
Jessica and her team are grateful for the warm welcome from the community and we’re excited to welcome them to the neighborhood. I know that they will give back to the community and it’s heartwarming to have such passionate energy in our town.
