Living the dream!
When it comes to indulging in fine food, the Taste of Fair Oaks is one of the events I look forward to each year. I happened to catch the sun glare in this shot taken at Taste of Fair Oaks 2017.
The Taste of Fair Oaks brings together some of the best dining establishments and wineries. A wide selection of wines to taste and beers to sample. I didn’t get any photos this time! Had to use one from last year since I didn’t have a free hand with carrying my plate and wine glass. I loved the stemless glass but it took two hands to keep it steady on the plate and not bump into someone and lose it. I heard a few shattered glasses during the evening. It felt a little more crowded this time. When you arrive you’re given a plate with a holder for your wine glass. They’re made for a stemmed glass to keep it secure. I usually head straight for the patio where Rubios is serving plentiful fish tacos. Then it’s over to the Cattleman’s table for some prime rib before sampling the rest of the foods and wines. The Chocolate Architect has some wonderful chocolates and you’ll get to see which ones go well with a selection of wines. The samples this year were teeny tiny and served by one person which was way different from previous years when you could pick and choose what you wanted and help yourself. It was kind of disappointing. I was so looking forward to sampling more of the chocolates. I’m talking to die for chocolate too! Oh man… I added the list of businesses that participated with links to their websites. My goal is to visit some of them and do some stories for my blog.
