Of Simpler Times is one of the oldest shops along the street in Fair Oaks Village. You’ll find some very unique gifts that give that homie feeling. Of course, there are chickens. I stopped by to see some of the Christmas items and fell in love with the crystal Christmas trees and the chapels with the snow falling into a lighted wonderland.
Jolly old St. Nicks everywhere! of Course the portrait photographer in me LOVES an opportunity to photograph these fellas.
Fair Oaks is celebrating with the 35th Annual Christmas in the Village this Saturday, December 1st, 2018. Rain or shine. I look forward to seeing the Christmas trees all lit up in the Village park with the ceremonial annual lighting of the giant tree.
There will be vendors, the shops will be open and activities for the kids and family. Even a gingerbread house decorating contest! I enjoy listing to Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate while strolling around the village.
The Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and the Fair Oaks Parks and Recreation, along with other volunteers work tirelessly to give us a beautiful Christmas in the Village of Fair Oaks, California each year. Often we don’t realize that these are people putting in their own time to make our community the special place that it is. I love Fair Oaks!!!
