Fair Oaks came together with purpose and compassion, raising $50,000 in a memorable evening dedicated to finding a cure for neuroendocrine cancer in honor of Sheryl Sorem. Discover how the Night to Celebrate Sheryl is making a difference in our community and beyond.

FAIR OAKS, CA — October 19, 2024: This past Saturday, the Fair Oaks community gathered for the annual Night to Celebrate Sheryl Sorem at the North Ridge Country Club, an evening dedicated to the memory of Sheryl Sorem and her battle with metastatic neuroendocrine cancer. With warmth, camaraderie, and a shared purpose, attendees raised an impressive $50,000 for the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF), supporting their mission to find cures and improve treatments for this complex cancer.

Sheryl faced the challenges of metastatic neuroendocrine cancer, a rare and often misdiagnosed disease that affects more than 175,000 people across the United States. Known for its ability to develop in various organs and create a range of symptoms, neuroendocrine cancer often takes five to seven years to diagnose—leaving many with limited options by the time they receive answers. Sheryl’s legacy and courage inspired her loved ones to create this annual event, bringing people together to support groundbreaking research and honor her life.
