I was inspired by watching videos like this to do porch portraits in my community of Fair Oaks, Carmichael, and Orangevale. This is a time to capture moments that you’ll be able to look back on for years to come. While we’re at home with our families or with our pets or if we live […]

Becoming confident and self-reliant. Living life unapologetically. Lisa is caring and nurturing. Not afraid to have […]

This is a favorite holiday movie classic made into a Broadway Musical. It’s about a young boy, Ralphie, who is trying to figure out a way to convince the adults that the “Red Ryder air rifle” would make a wonderful Christmas gift. Every time he brings it up, he’s told, “You’ll put your eye out!” […]

Can you believe it rained on that stage? Yes, it did! I have the song, “Moses supposes his toeses are roses” stuck in my head. LOL! Tickets were sold out but I was invited by Julie Gallaher of Get on the Map and Broadway Sacramento as a guest to see the dress rehearsal. We’re so […]
Living the dream! When it comes to indulging in fine food, the Taste of Fair Oaks is one of the events I look forward to each year. I happened to catch the sun glare in this shot taken at Taste of Fair Oaks 2017. The Taste of Fair Oaks brings together some of the […]

The 10th annual Chicken Festival was held in the Village in Fair Oaks on September 19th. The public filled both parks and all along the streets, celebrating with the band, buying trinkets and eating delicious food truck goodness. Simpler times reflection of the crowd. Although, there were a lot of folks, it wasn’t uncomfortably crowded. […]

A favorite spot in the Sacramento area is Fair Oaks Village located in the town of Fair Oaks. The chickens actually run wild. Shop keepers buy food and feed them as well as visitors who feed them pieces of bread. The deli even has day old bread that you can buy for a quarter. There’s […]
Welcome to I Love Fair Oaks
Living in a community can be very important for your well-being. A sense of belonging is what connects us to the many relationships we develop. Help your neighbors. Get involved as a volunteer. Support local businesses. There are plenty of opportunities out there if you look out for them.
Enjoy an Active Lifestyle in Fair Oaks
Endearing with its walking and bike trails along the American River, the old village with country chic shops; and the chickens that inhabit the parks, Fair Oaks is comfortable and cozy. Nestled in the Sacramento Valley, Fair Oaks, CA is one of my favorite places. I’m not alone in my love for Fair Oaks. It’s a wonderful community and a terrific place to call home.
Enjoy, biking, river rafting, and kayaking, horseback riding, or exploring the trails for health and wellness along the American river.
