I was inspired by watching videos like this to do porch portraits in my community of Fair Oaks, Carmichael, and Orangevale. This is a time to capture moments that you’ll be able to look back on for years to come. While we’re at home with our families or with our pets or if we live […]
Why did I join Lisa Drake Properties? Lisa has the vision to have an office where everyone feels valued. We share a lot of the same ideals and goals. In fact, we were both single moms with one child. Becoming confident and self-reliant. Living life unapologetically. Lisa is caring and nurturing. Not afraid to have […]

This is a favorite holiday movie classic made into a Broadway Musical. It’s about a young boy, Ralphie, who is trying to figure out a way to convince the adults that the “Red Ryder air rifle” would make a wonderful Christmas gift. Every time he brings it up, he’s told, “You’ll put your eye out!” […]
The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District did an excellent job with the 13th Annual Fair Oaks Chicken Festival! I arrived early at 10 AM and this is what the street looked like. It was well attended. There was live music on main stage, cluck n’ crow contest, craft brew tasting, 100+ vendors, SactoMoFo food […]

What do you do when your pet needs emergency care? Well, usually, we are in the midst of being traumatized ourselves and don’t have a clue what to do or who to call. Who do we call? How do we keep everyone calm and make rational decisions? How much is this going to cost? We […]
Brad and I attended the Steelin’ Dan concert at the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival. This is one Tribute band you don’t want to miss! Sandford Wragg’s vocals and his stage presence will have you hooked. His performance of songs like Reelin’ in the Years was so on point. The whole band is fantastic! These […]
Tacos from #ZintzuniCocinaMexicana at the Taco, beer and margaritas fest in the Village Park in Fair Oaks. Oh boy! We got lucky! We parked off of Sunrise and took a Lfyt to the Village. Then went to the first Taco truck because there wasn’t a big line. That was smart. And we had the best […]

If you haven’t been to a Fair Oaks Summer Concert in the park, you need to go! I thought it would be crowded but there were just the right amount of people and the parking wasn’t too bad. We arrived a little early and I got my keto friendly sandwich at the Fair Oaks Coffee […]
I posted a picture of a keto friendly sandwich that I ordered at the Fair Oaks Coffee House and Deli not long ago and several people have asked about it so I’ll put it right here. They didn’t have this on the menu so I made it up. I call it Chrysti’s choice. LOL! Not […]
I was treated by my dear friend, Julie Gallaher, of Get on the Map and Broadway Sacramento to the dress rehearsal performance of Disney’s Newsies. Newsies is based on the newsboys strike of 1899, when odds were against them, they banded together to fight the powerful publishers. Dinner before the show? You can get parking […]

Enjoy an Active Lifestyle in Fair Oaks
Endearing with its walking and bike trails along the American River, the old village with country chic shops; and the chickens that inhabit the parks, Fair Oaks is comfortable and cozy. Nestled in the Sacramento Valley, Fair Oaks, CA is one of my favorite places. I’m not alone in my love for Fair Oaks. It’s a wonderful community and a terrific place to call home.
Enjoy, biking, river rafting, and kayaking, horseback riding, or exploring the trails for health and wellness along the American river.
